Volunteers will have various assignments and responsibilities throughout the day. Some of those duties will be setting up the event, ticket scanning and wristbanding, directing people inside the festival, handing out tasting glasses, delivering ice and beer, filling water pitchers and in some cases, pouring. If you are a shift 3 volunteer, you will have to do some light cleanup at the end of the festival. Volunteer duties will be assigned at the festival at the "Volunteer Registration Desk". All volunteers must be 21+.
All Saturday volunteers receive:

Please note that this is an outdoor event. The festival will be held under a tent. Please plan accordingly.
Volunteers must be 21 years or older to attend this event. Valid Photo I.D. is required at the door. No exceptions!
We need to spread the word about the Great Beer Expo: Philly at The Navy Yard and need volunteers who are able to distribute promotional cards and posters about the festival in new neighborhoods. If you sign up to be a “Street Team” volunteer we will send you materials to distribute around your community – your local bars, restaurants, beer distributors, etc. (anywhere that people will see them). There is no time requirement and distribution activities can be completed whenever and wherever is convenient to you. However, “Street Team” volunteers can earn rewards for their efforts based on the number of locations materials are distributed at.
Friday AM Shift Runs from 9:00AM to 3:00PM on Friday. Volunteers for this shift will receive one complimentary ticket to one session of the festival on Saturday. Working this shift requires the volunteer to do some heavy lifting and unloading of delivery trucks. It is recommended for the "strongest" volunteers.
Shift #1 Runs from 9:00AM to 2:00PM and at the end of their shift, volunteers will be invited to stay and enjoy the remainder of the festival.
Shift #2 Runs from 11:00AM to 4:00PM and volunteers will be invited to stay and enjoy the remainder of the festival.
Shift #3 Runs from 2:00PM to 7:00PM. Volunteer’s who work the entire 3rd shift will receive one $25 Amazon gift card. Gift cards will be given out at the end of your shift at 7:00pm, when you check out. You must checkout to be eligible for your gift card.
